Elmdene is committed to reaching net zero — reducing our carbon emissions to as close to zero as possible, and responsibly offsetting what we cannot yet eliminate. This is our pledge to our customers, our partners, our people, and the planet.
As a manufacturer of power supply units for fire and security systems, we have a role to play that goes beyond product performance. Our operations consume energy. Our supply chains carry a carbon footprint. Our packaging, logistics, and manufacturing processes all contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.
We are not in a position to ignore that.
We are also acutely aware of what we make: products designed to protect lives and property. That sense of responsibility — which drives everything we do at Elmdene — naturally extends to our wider environmental impact. If we care about protecting the places people live and work, we must also care about the planet those places sit on.
We have set ambitious but achievable targets, grounded in a realistic assessment of our current emissions and a clear-eyed view of what is possible. Our sustainability report sets out those targets in full, alongside the methodology we have used and the established frameworks we are aligning with. A number of meaningful changes are already under way.
We believe in being transparent about our progress. That is why we have published a full sustainability report, freely available to our customers and stakeholders. The report covers our current carbon footprint, our net zero targets, the actions we are taking, and our plan for ongoing measurement and accountability. It is a transparent account of where we are, and a clear commitment to where we are going.
