Elmdene International has announced the launch of their STX UL864 Range, a new series of UL 864 (10th Edition) listed auxiliary power supplies for fire alarm-controlled and life safety applications.
Available in 2A and 5A variants, the range is designed to provide reliable, supervised power to ancillary life safety equipment including door holders, aspirating detection systems, elevator control interfaces, smoke control systems, beam detectors and communicators.
The STX UL864 Range features an efficient switch mode power supply design with integrated battery backup capability. A supervised battery charger supports batteries up to 55Ah, with a selectable charge rate to extend battery life. An integrated cut-off circuit protects batteries from deep discharge, reducing ongoing maintenance requirements.
Fault monitoring is provided via diagnostic LEDs covering earth fault, AC status, charger condition and battery fault, alongside two common trouble relays for general system trouble and low input AC trouble. All models are housed in a steel, lockable enclosure and carry Elmdene's limited lifetime warranty.
Four models are available, spanning two enclosure sizes and both amp ratings, to suit a range of installation requirements. The range accepts 110 to 240 VAC input and operates across a temperature range of 0°C to 49°C.
